What our students say about Cape CrossFit:
"As a professional athlete I'm continually looking for more efficient and effective ways to raise my game - Cape CrossFit has definitely raised the bar. This is the ideal fitness programme for the athlete at heart. Its is the perfect combination of quality coaching in a competitive team environment and the best return for time invested." - Adriana "Rika" Geyser, Olympian (Rowing: Women's Single Sculls), professional athlete.
"[...] It does not matter what is happening in my life, CCF is what I look forward to and where I get to challenge myself on different levels and I always feel better walking out than what I did walking in. I have transformed my physical look, I have improved my health on all levels, and when I am not able to train is when I feel low. The healthy high that keeps me going all day every day!" Janie Smit, Observatory, Cape Town.
"I love training and I love CrossFit. That said, I couldn't imagine a better place to do it in. The equipment is top notch, the views amazing, the atmosphere totally inspiring and most important of all: the guys running the show really know their thing! If you don't get motivated to be the best you that you can ever be at this place, then you won't be it anywhere..." Chris Öman, CrossFit athlete, Camps Bay, Cape Town.
"[...] Yesterday before the drive for plett I did a few exercises and felt really good, did the handstand hold for 2:04min improving on my time of 1:20min and then proceeded to do 12 handstand push-ups unbroken, improving on my previous record of 8. I then did 100 push-ups 100 sit-ups and 100 squats in a time of 10:40min improving on my previous time a month ago by 4:07min!! Was stoked :-) pity I'm missing the weightlifting coaching on Saturday, I certainly need to work on my Olympic Lifting technique, anyway just had to tell someone who I thought would appreciate it." Graham Baratt, New Business Development, Rondebosch, Cape Town.
"I enjoy lifting weights and have worked out with about 6 or so personal trainers over the last 15 years. I would be gung-ho at first, get some fast results then hit a plateau around 6 or 8 weeks in, get bored and start looking for the next big thing. With CrossFit [...], I'm never bored and can't even conceive of what a plateau would look like. The workouts are unique and challenging every time. I'm astounded at my strength gain in just 3 months and am amazed at some of the movements the trainers help me accomplish, such as handstands (almost!) and ring dips. That's the key difference with Crossfit over other strength-training I've tried, I move so much better now. I'm lighter, quicker and have markedly improved body control. I love it!
I've been hooked on Crossfit since my very first experience with a Crossfit personal trainer in the U.S. a little over a year ago. It is such a complete workout packed in to a fun yet challenging package that I would never want to lift weights in isolated, mind-numbing sets again nor waste my time in some trendy cardio class. Cape Crossfit takes my Crossfit experience to the next level. Roland & Jobst excel at communicating proper technique without losing the momentum of the workout. I have reaped the benefits of their knowledge and expertise and feel I get an incredibly effective, well-designed workout, while having fun at the same time. Prior to joining Cape Crossfit, I never would have thought gymnastic moves and Olympic lifts were within my physical capabilities. With my current strength gains and my vastly improved fitness, everything seems possible, both inside and outside of the gym.
The two of you have something special here. The gym is an amazing space and you guys are ridiculously good at what you do (in my oh so humble opinion). I've never before been around people, who were not directly related to me, who were so genuinely happy when I accomplished something. I love coming to train and I think that is due way more to the added value you guys create over just straight ahead Crossfit." - Kerry Murray, teacher & mother.
