From next week onwards you may be seeing some crazy fun WODS go down on Tuesdays AND Thursdays at CCF Gardens….

Based on how much fun we have had in the past with our CCF Kids Program we are bringing it back this summer! These classes are a fun way to get our members kids fit and develop a lifelong love of fitness!

Based on the principle of Mechanics, Consistency and then Intensity, CrossFit Kids emphasizes good movement throughout childhood and adolescence. Consistently good mechanics translates to physical literacy, enhanced sports performance and fewer sports injuries for kids. Not only that, a vast body of research indicates that exercise is beneficial to cognitive function, which means consistent adherence to the program can have a positive impact on children’s academic achievement.

CrossFit Kids is meant to be BIG fun for all ages. Broad-Inclusive-General fun. Fun means we provide an active alternative to sedentary pursuits, which means less childhood obesity and all-around better health for our children. Further, the needs of second graders and high-school varsity wrestlers differ by degree and not kind; the program is scalable for any age or experience level and accounts for the varied maturation status one can find in a class full of kids.

We use body weight, gymnastic and weightlifting exercises to develop fundamental and functional skills that translate into everyday tasks and sports. Our CCF kids have a blast while playing games, expending energy, building endurance and working as a team. So much so that they don't even call it exercise


We are kicking things off with a FREE 2 session Trial every Tuesday and Thursday at 16:00, from then on each class will cost R50 a session for kids of CCF Members (R75 for non members). The classes we will be offering ​initially ​are:

​CCF ​Cubs (​6​-12 Years)

These sessions will run for approximately 40 minutes (parents are encouraged to stay, especially parents of the younger children) OR if they are members at CCF why not jump in to the CCF Nitro while your kids are getting fit with Coach Tash?

In the CCF Kids sessions your children will learn functional movements which will be applied to games and short fun workouts.

As the children in these classes progress and show competency with our movements, we will begin to introduce some load i.e. lifting a kettlebell safely from the floor.

CCF Pups (Pre-School 3-5 Years)
(Please let us know if you are interested in this option as we will only offer it based on demand).

These sessions will run for approx 25-30 minutes (parents are asked to stay) during which children will learn the basics of new skills such as the air squat.
Preschool sessions will be based around game play, with a focus on fun, simply aimed at getting children moving through functional movement patterns.

CCF Teen Wolves 13-17 YEARS
(Please let us know if you are interested in this option as we will only offer it based on demand).

These sessions will run for approximately 1 hour, with the focus on technique work, the workouts are short and fun to keep our athletes engaged.
Providing these athletes are competent in all the movements, they will begin to work with barbells and will add load depending on individual ability.
Teens will also be introduced to some of the more advanced movements of CrossFit and may work towards a sport specific strength and conditioning programme.



The CrossFit kids programme aims to pair fitness with fun, thus creating a lifelong love of health and fitness for our children​ - and because we are also running our CCF Nitro Classes in Gardens at 16.00 you can now get your training in at the same time as your kids are getting fitter​.

Our Kids Classes will ONLY run based on bookings so if you are interested in booking a spot please pop a mail through to [email protected] ​and we will plan to run the classes based on the demand.
